The list
A short list for serious houses.
Luxury House List is a scored editorial directory — not a catalog, not a marketplace, not a moodboard of whatever shipped this season.
Who this is for
Homeowners, architects, and designers who already specify at this tier. You know the difference between a trade showroom and a shopping feed. You want a candid number and a sentence you could send a client — not a superlative.
Who this is not for
Mass retail. Coupon hunting. SEO copy that exists to rank a SKU. If the object only looks expensive in a campaign still, it stays off the list.
How an object earns a place
It has to belong in a house that will still look intentional in five years. We score design, craft, usability, durability, and value — then publish one House Score that is not an average of those axes. Most honest objects are a 3. A 5 is rare.
Read the methodologybefore treating a number as a ranking.
Pictures
Listing photography is hosted in this site, not hotlinked. We prefer official brand product shots and press-kit stills, credited in the caption — typically “Product image: [Brand]”. We do not invent materials from dealer pages, and we do not use stock as a product hero.
If a listing is still waiting on rights-clear photography, it stays a draft. A tasteful placeholder is only for a missing image — seeded published listings should not look empty.
How we stay honest
- No fake review counts, traffic numbers, or celebrity installs.
- Empty affiliate URLs stay empty. We do not invent buy links.
- Sponsored listings are marked. Sponsorship does not raise House Score.
- Drafts stay off the public site until they are ready.
